Moneyer of this fine denarius of the late Roman republic is D. Junius Brutus Albinus, later assassinator of Julius Caesar.
He was a standing officer and a favourite of Caesar. In 48 BC Caesar made him master of the Roman mint. This coin was meant to show mutual agreement of Rome and Caesar.
