Product Description
Carlos I and Johanna 1516-1555. 2 Reales o.J. (1538-1549) Mexico °P°-°M°. Crowned pillars / Coat of arms. Calico 122; very fine, edge tooled
extremely rare variety
Rare type variety with the ensayador`s letter "P" positioned to the left side. Since the crowns on the pillars were struck with punches from the previous ensayador, Francisco del Rincon, it seems likely that this coin was struck in 1538 or 1539.
