In 1909 the picture of the Emperor changed, the head no longer adorns the laurel wreath. The gold coin 10 kroin exist as oddity in two versions. The first version with a slimmer head has been designed by Rudolf Marschall as a commemorative coin of the previous year. The second version has been designed by the medallist Stefan Schwartz. He had a good reputation as an artist, it allowed him to sign up with his name under the head of the emperor.
