Constantine I 307-337. AE-Follis 14 mm 330 Constantinopolis. Draped and laureate bust of Genius Populi Romani l., holding cornucopia over left shoulder POP ROMANVS / Milvian Bridge with two towers over over the Tiber; mintmark CONS H. RIC 21; very fine to extremely fine, minor corrosion
The reverse shows the famous Milvian Bridge, scene of the battle between Maxentius` and Constantine`s armies in October 312. Although being vastly outnumbered, Constantine won the battle - as it was predicted to him in a vision the very day before.
